WAILUKU, MAUI, Hawai‘i (23 September 2016) – The Hawai‘i Health Systems Corporation – Maui Region announced today that its Board of Directors have selected Dr. Barry Shitamoto as Interim Chief Executive Officer effective November 1, 2016. Dr. Shitamoto will succeed outgoing Maui Region CEO Wesley P. Lo who will leave the Maui Region on October 31, 2016.

“Dr. Shitamoto has a long relationship with the Maui Community, serving in a number of leadership roles to benefit Maui Region, including Chief of Staff, MMMC Foundation Board Chair and most recently, the Maui Region Board,” said Maui Region Board Chair Avery B.
